Redesigned interior and exterior of the classic, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. I chose Fleur by Maximiliano Sproviero as the display font for the opening title page, chapter titles and running header. This font shares the whimsical embellishments of the classic story we all know. I illustrated small pictures for each chapter opener to enhance the storybook flourish. Both the typography and the illustrations are subtly nodding to classic folklore and fairytale styles while holding to a modern, simplified state.
The book was hand bound, with covers wrapped in decorative paper to thoughtfully relate to the typographic style. The page signatures were printed, cut to 8x8 and prepared to be sewn together between the two hand wrapped covers.
