Mixed Signs is a personal project combining the worlds of mixology and astrology. The book is a spiral-bound recipe guide organized around the twelve zodiac signs, using content sourced and adapted from a Delish article as the foundation for the editorial design.
The book is divided into four sections following the classical elemental groupings of the zodiac: Fire Signs, Earth Signs, Air Signs, and Water Signs. Each section has its own color story, and each individual sign gets its own illustrated character, creating a visual system that feels cohesive across the whole book while still giving every sign its own distinct personality. The illustrations draw on a bold, graphic style that nods to the iconic visual language of astrology without taking itself too seriously.
Typography and layout were central to making the book feel like a real published object rather than a formatted document. I treated each spread with the same care you would give a professionally printed cookbook, balancing recipe content, illustrations, and decorative elements to create pages that are fun to flip through. The bright, saturated color palette keeps the energy high throughout and reinforces the playful tone of the project overall.
